The 4 C’s of Friends of Foster Kids

We have focused our services on four key programs: Christmas, College, Cars, and Care. Friends of Foster Kids has expanded its services to lend a hand to the older children as they become young adults, going off to college and learning to live independently. Without the support of family, we help them by meeting some of their needs.

FOFK provides Christmas for foster children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect and placed in temporary housing or shelters. FOFK fulfills each child’s wish list with new items wrapped with care and then works to ensure timely delivery for Christmas.

College & Careers

FOFK provide foster children entering college, with a care package containing essentials they need to transition to dormitory living and start their college career.

FOFK as a trusted partner with the State of Michigan Youth Opportunities Initiative Program advances the funds necessary for the purchase of a vehicle for a qualified foster child.

FOFK is a network of caring volunteers like you, working together to make a difference in a foster child’s life. Helping provide for the needs of a child coming into care on an individual basis, and building awareness of the needs of foster children.
